Upgrading to Silverstripe 2.4

Dear Internetz,
Upgrading to 2.4 is proving to be a bitch.  In the midst of upgrading my Ubuntu slice, I lost my portfolio (backed up, however) as well as some blog entries.  It seems that during the data dump, it failed to escape special characters that were then re-interpruted during import.  Current working on getting the entire system running.  I would say I'm about at 80%. I will keep you updated.
