Bigfoot Networks needed an updated website, and wanted the launch to coincide with the launch of their latest gaming network card. FG SQUARED designed and programmed the new site in an amazingly fast 3 months.
I was tasked with doing all development for this site. I implemented the SilverStripe CMS; structuring page types, objects and extending existing Classes using SilverStripe's Sapphire PHP Framework.
Working with an in house Web Designer, I took the finalized comps and developed the front-end. My front-end work consisted of XHTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS. I utilized both JQuery and Prototype frameworks.
Part of the project also consisted of integrating legacy systems into the new web server. I was tasked with importing over both the VBulleting system and their Support Suite software. Both tasks consisted of exporting out DB data, implementing the scripts for VBulleting and Support Suite in the new system, and then importing back in the data. Afterwards, I had to skin both applications to match the new design. This consisted of XHTML, CSS and JavaScript front-end development.
